I started writing my ultimate bucket list back in 2017 when I was working away in Chichester as a construction site manager. I was living in a little rented room, spending my evenings on my own and generally feeling a bit fed up. One night I ended up watching one of those dramatic “travel inspiration” videos and thought, right, that’s it — I’m making a proper bucket list.

At first it was just 100 things, a way to keep myself sane during all the stress and long days. But it snowballed fast. Before I knew it, I’d written well over 500 bucket list ideas (and it’s still growing). Every time I tick one off, I take a photo and stick it in the engraved album Alex bought me for Christmas one year. It’s become a whole thing.

I’m sharing it here because if you’re stressed, bored, or just stuck in a bit of a rut, starting your own bucket list genuinely helps. It gave me something to look forward to, something to work towards. So here are some of my favourite bucket list ideas — maybe they’ll do the same for you.
